The Golden Globe-winning actor, Evan Peters, and the Wild Child actress, Emma Roberts, who were once a prominent couple, reunited after seven long years following their split in 2019 at the Disney upfront event on May 12, 2026, in New York, for a presentation of the FX series, American Horror Story, as per Entertainment Weekly.
The former couple Evan Peters,39, and Emma Roberts, who will be appearing on season 13 of FX’s American Horror Story, were seen presenting the show along with their co-actors, Angela Bassett, Gabourey Sidibe, Sarah Paulson, and Paul Anthony Kelly.
Amid their reunion at the Walt Disney upfront event on May 12, netizens are curious about what happened with Evan Peters and Emma Roberts. According to Entertainment Weekly, Peter and Roberts, 35, who began dating one another in 2012, first came across each other during the production of Scott Coffey’s comedy-drama film Adult World.
While they went through multiple breakups during their long romantic relationship, Roberts and Peters were also involved in a reported domestic violence dispute in 2013, as per Entertainment Weekly. Following the domestic violence dispute, Emma Roberts was taken into custody by the police, but was released within a few hours as Evan Peters did not press any charges against her. As cited by People, at the time, their representatives released a joint statement, which read:
“It was an unfortunate incident and misunderstanding. Ms. Roberts was released after questioning, and the couple are working together to move past it.”
Evan Peters, who recently starred in Ryan Murphy and Matthew Hodgson’s FX original series The Beauty, was also engaged to Emma Roberts, but they eventually called it off in June 2015. While they patched up after a few months, Roberts and Peters finally broke up and went their separate ways in 2019.

The Never Back Down actor, Evan Peters, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in January 2026, opened up about starring in American Horror Story‘s thirteenth installment. Peters said:
“First of all, it’s working with Ryan again, but second of all, he’s assembled the cast from all the different seasons. We’re all getting back together to do this greatest-hits season. So we’ll see what he writes and what it brings … I’m interested to see what the scenes are and how it all plays out.”
