The Boys Season 5 Episode 7 unveils who could kill Homelander

After the array of difficulties that have come in Butcher and his team’s path, The Boys Season 5 Episode 7 brings forth a certain progress in their goal. Keeping Hughie unaware of the plan, Butcher and Frenchie decided to use Kimiko to fight against Homelander. After watching Soldier Boy, Butcher got the idea. He remembered that Soldier Boy was not born with the power that he has. Rather, the Ivans gave him the power through a consistent application of “scientific methodology”.

This “scientific methodology” is nothing but throwing an atom bomb’s worth of radiation at him. Frenchie and Butcher have now decided to use the same research and apply it to Kimiko. Through the application of the same process using uranium, Kimiko will be able to get Soldier Boy’s power. After achieving power, she will be able to end Homeland.

In The Boys Season 5 Episode 7, though their plan could help them achieve their goal, the calculations need to be accurate for the experiment to work; otherwise, Kimiko will not be able to survive. Without Sage’s skills, they will not be able to get the accurate calculations.

Frenchie understood the situation as he saw the pain that Kimiko was tolerating for the success of the experiment. He tried to stop Kimiko; however, Kimiko refused to stop and continued with the process. Each time Kimiko was exposed to the uranium, her healing power was slowing down. However, it could be understood that if Kimiko is able to get the powers of Soldier Boy, things will not be good for Homelander.

As The Boys Season 5 Episode 7 progresses, Kimiko gets more and more affected by the uranium, and her healing power slows. Frenchie understands that he needs Sage’s help. Unless Sage gets out of her haze and helps them, they will not be able to succeed. However, on the other hand, Homelander also eagerly searches for Sage.

At the end of this episode of The Boys Season 5, Homelander is able to reach their location right after Sage decides to help with the experiment on Kimiko. Though Frenchie is able to put Kimiko and Sage behind a zinc shield, as he is aware that Homelander is not able to see through zinc, saving Kimiko and Sage’s lives, it is not the same for him.

After safely locking Sage and Kimiko, he distracts Homelander away from them and locks himself in the uranium container with Homelander. Eventually, Homelander kills Frenchie in a brutal manner and leaves after not finding Sage. At the very end of The Boys Season 5 Episode 7, Kimiko is completely devastated to find Frenchie dying.

They share a heartfelt moment together, depicting the deep love that they have for each other. At the beginning of The Boys Season 5 Episode 7, Frenchie tried to stop Kimiko by telling her that they could settle somewhere else and have children. The brutal ending of their story can be expected to be a driving factor for Kimiko to end Homelander if she is able to achieve the power.
