What did Regina Hall say about Kevin Hart?
During his Netflix roast, Ms Hall made fun of Kevin Hart like everyone else. She began by mentioning Kevin’s late mother, Nancy, before cheekily turning it around:
“Kevin’s mom, Miss Nancy, god rest her soul, she communicates with me sometimes. Now, this is actually the truth…”
Hall joked that back in the day, Miss Nancy communicated with her to let her son know not to go to Las Vegas and “f**k that girl.” However, that night she’d been drinking and got the information wrong.
“That’s on me… Now, tonight Kevin, I got it, not gonna mess up, I am sober… Miss Nancy says, ‘Thank you all for being here to celebrate my son. I love you, Kevin Hart. Have fun on your big night.’ And now, ohh, I have to get back to Michael Clark Duncan who’s been a deep Green Mile in this p***y for the past three months. Sorry. She said they run trains in heaven.”
Actor Michael Clark Duncan is best remembered for his Oscar-nominated breakout role as John Coffey in the 1999 movie The Green Mile. He died in September 2012, aged 54.
Regina quipped that Kevin’s mom had been having relations with Duncan up in heaven.
Elsewhere, she reflected on her two-decade-old friendship with Hart and how “fun and exciting” it had been sitting on stage and listening to others roast him without Kevin getting a chance to “talk back.”
The One Battle After Another actress joked she thinks the comedian didn’t deserve all the “insults” that were directed his way and she was there as a “true friend.”
Ms Hall joked that Kevin’s mom congratulated her for winning Best Picture while regretting that her son’s movie didn’t reach heaven, “because it’s heaven!”
“But oh, oh, he says your dad is enjoying them all down where he is,” Regina continued.
It is noteworthy that Nancy Hart passed away in 2007, while his dad, Henry Robert Witherspoon, died in 2022.
The Scary Movie alum also took shots at Kevin Hart’s failed vegan fast-food chain, his physical stature, his movie career, his relationships, and controversies over the year. She ended by also making fun of her fellow guests, including Chelsea Handler and Pete Davidson.
While Kevin Hart appeared to take the whole set in good spirits, Ms Hall maintained the same demeanor throughout. She left by introducing the surprise guest, Katt Williams, who has had a longstanding beef with Hart. Later in the roast, Katt and Kevin traded shots at each other while also “squashing” their feud once and for all, as the latter extended an “olive branch.”
