In Marshals Episode 11, Kayce and Cal stay with Neil Lamb in the cabin to keep him in custody. At one point, Kayce goes out to collect wood, and Lamb uses the opportunity to tell Cal most of the Dutton secrets. When Cal goes to collect firewood to keep them warm, he falls through the thin ice, and Kayce asks Neil to give him a thermal.

After seeing the Yellowstone brand, Cal believes Neil’s side. Previously, the two fought, with Kayce claiming that he was only trying to help Garrett and Cal blaming him for bringing Garrett back into the field.

However, after learning the truth about the Duttons from Neil Lamb, he accuses the Duttons of being gangsters, and he even asks Kayce about the train station. He further asks if everything Clegg and Glifford told about Kayce was right. As their argument continued, they threw personal attacks at each other.

Lamb, who is scared of being thrown in the train station, sees the opportunity and escapes, and Cal, who goes behind him, is later found alone. Cal claims that Neil has run away after Kayce finds Cal injured. However, Lamb doesn’t seem to have run away, as a body is shown trapped under the ice.

Meanwhile, Andrea and Belle followed Lamb’s trail by checking the prison bus driver’s phone records. Their investigation led them to Ben, who was about to help Lamb escape. Thanks to Andrea and Belle, Ben was stopped at the right time before he could attack Kayce and Cal.

Marshals Episode 11 recap: Garrett dies after the fire accident

The episode also brought an emotional moment for the Marshals as Garrett took his last breath. In the last episode, he was caught in a fire and faced second-degree burns and lung problems, after which he was admitted to the hospital. Due to a lack of oxygen in his body due to burns, he dies, leaving the team devastated. Kayce and Cal come to know about the news after they return from their mission to the hospital.

While Kayce and Cal were already getting close to Garrett, considering Kayce brought him on the missions and was planning a birthday for him, and Cal and Garrett were somewhat trying to rebuild their bond, it’s sad news for Andrea as well, who shared moments with him in the last episode.

Marshals Episode 11 recap: Miles questions Rainwater’s motives

On the other hand, Mo and Thomas Rainwater are all out trying to protect the reservation from another mining project. After Senator Conner is forced to stay at the casino due to the storm, Rainwater uses the opportunity to speak with her directly.

Viewers also see Miles coming into the picture. As they talked, Miles shared stories from his military days and how he made an impact, leaving an impact on the senator. As the conversation continued, she hinted that the mining issue could get a hearing.

Miles understood what had happened and questioned Rainwater on whether he just used him to influence the senator. However, Rainwater explained his side, saying he just used Miles as a ‘weapon.’ Looks like Rainwater just used Miles’ reputation to influence the senator to fight for the reservation.

The truth about Roner’s death

During their argument, Kayce also told Cal about the apology message Garrett sent to Cal. Until now, Kayce believed that Cal had abandoned Roner in the Afgantisan mission, which led to his death.

However, Marshals episode 11 gives the complete details about the past incidents, showing how Cal took the blame on himself for years. It turns out it was Garrett who told Cal that Roner was already dead, the reason why the team was ultimately pulled back by Cal. If he had known Roner was alive, which was later found on the satellite images, he wouldn’t have asked the team to pull back.

After the incident, instead of blaming Garrett, Cal took all the blame for Roner’s death on himself. The truth finally helps Kayce understand why Cal made that choice years ago.

Marshals is currently airing on CBS and is available to stream on Paramount+.
