Days of our Lives gets off to a roaring start on Monday, May 11, 2026, as the DiMera get the shock of their lives. According to spoilers, Lexie Carver emerges from the tunnels and turns everyone’s world upside down, including her husband and son. At least EJ will feel all his hard work has paid off…maybe.
Back from the dead on Days of our Lives
Dr. Rolf (Richard Wharton) is alarmed when he visits his patient in the DiMera tunnels and discovers that the room is empty. Lexie (Nikki Crawford) is not in her bed and the only thing he can think is that someone has found her and taken her.
Little does he know that the DiMera clan is about to be blown away by his handiwork when Lexie walks out of the tunnels and into the living room. You could hear a pin drop as Abe (James Reynolds) stares at his long-dead wife, breathing and in the flesh. How could this be? She died in his arms so many years ago.
Abe should know that means nothing, as Bo (Peter Reckell) died in Hope’s (Kristian Alfonso) arms a few years later, also from a brain tumor, and now they are away touring the world on the ocean, as they tend to do.
Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews) won’t be quite as surprised as his father, as he knew this was coming. Marlena (Deidre Hall) also knew to expect this, but EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) is still floored that it worked. But what about Lexie? Who is going to explain to her just what has happened?
Other DiMera troubles
Since the DiMeras are used to people returning from the dead, Tony (Thaao Penghlis) doesn’t seem any worse for wear. He just wants to talk business and offers Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) the CEO job because the last thing he wanted was for EJ’s son to have the position. That’s why he brought Theo into the mix.
As for Kristen (Stacy Haiduk), the guilt is weighing on her as she sees Zombie Sophia (Rachel Boyd) again. It looks like the girl will be hanging around Salem for a while to haunt Kristen and make her life a living hell. Is this all in Kristen’s mind? Is Sophia even really dead?
