Who did Nick Pasqual play on How I Met Your Mother? Details explored as actor found guilty of attempted murder

Nick Pasqual is an American actor best known for his appearance as a minor character on the hit series How I Met Your Mother in 2011. Pasqual has also appeared in several other projects, including Netflix’s horror series Archive 81, American Gangster: Trap Queens, and High Mystery.

In the latest news about the 36-year-old actor, Nick Pasqual has been found guilty of attempted murder, amongst other charges, two years after he attacked his estranged girlfriend inside her California home. Pasqual was also found guilty of first-degree residential burglary with a person present, and injuring a spouse, cohabitant, fiancé, boyfriend, girlfriend or child’s parent.

In the May 2024 attack, Pasqual broke into the home of his estranged girlfriend, makeup artist Allie Shehorn, and stabbed her 20 times. After brutalizing the victim, the actor then fled the scene and attempted to abscond to Mexico before he was eventually apprehended in Texas. While the jury has determined the verdict in his case, he will be sentenced at a later date and is currently facing a maximum sentence of life in prison.

Details of Nick Pasqual attack and more

While in court, Nick Pasqual’s intended victim Allie Shehorn detailed the harrowing experience she was subjected to by her assailant in 2024. It’s clear that while she is bravely seeking justice for the attack, the mental scarring from the incident is very much intact. She offered that once he had entered the premises, it escalated almost immediately.

“I locked the door, and he just started punching holes in that door and broke that open, and I just ran into the bathroom because I thought there was another lock on that door.”

At the time of the malicious attack, Allie had already filed for a restraining order against Pasqual on the basis of several previous incidents between the two where he had exhibited violent tendencies. After the incident took place, the fledgling makeup artist opened up to The Daily Mail about attending all of Pasqual’s hearings in court.

“I just hope that there’s justice served. People should know that this shouldn’t happen and he can’t get away with it. I’ll be at every court hearing, even if I don’t have to be, just to show him that I’m still here.”

She added on the potential warning signs of domestic abuse,

“You never expect it to happen, but you all have to notice the signs and get out while you can.”

While Nick Pasqual seems destined to spend a large portion of the remainder of his life behind bars, it’s encouraging to see his victim attempting to close the chapter and move on.
