The question humanity has been asking for decades got a brand new burst of life today as the Pentagon just dropped some “never-before-seen” UFO files, which is completely changing how we view aliens. From Apollo mission transcripts to fresh infrared footage, the release is surprising and is bringing curiosity among fans. But does any of it actually prove aliens exist? Here’s what you should know.
PURSUE, which stands for the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters hosted these files on May 8, where citizens can also go and check out years of information regarding the UFO Files.

The American people can now access the federal government’s declassified UAP files instantly. The latest UAP videos, photos, and original source documents from across the entire United States government are all in one place – no clearance required. While past administrations sought to discredit or dissuade the American people, President Trump is focused on providing maximum transparency to the public, who can ultimately make up their own minds about the information contained in these files.
Among the early standouts are some photos and transcripts from Apollo 12 and Apollo 17 moon missions, one that captures clusters of bright particles or fragments drifting past their windows. We also have an infrared image from December 2025 tha has been flagged by the Department of Defense. Although the image has not been identified yet, it has been flagged for further review.
More details about the UFO Files
As recently as March 2024, the Pentagon released a comprehensive study covering nearly 80 years of sightings and flatly concluded that it found no evidence of alien spacecraft, alien life, or any reverse-engineered extraterrestrial technology. The report stated that the overwhelming majority of sightings, a part of the UFO Files turned out to be ordinary objects that had been misidentified, which means these latest reports are groundbreaking.
Prior to that, in 2021 a review by government covered 120 sightings across two decades found no extraterrestrial links, though officials also stopped short of ruling anything out entirely.
The Pentagon’s own researchers have also acknowledged that the emergence of pop culture, TV shows, movies, and the volume of UFO content that we have consumed online has shaped public perception in ways that make it harder to believe what there is and what isn’t.
