1) Angela Bassett as Athena Grant: The American Horror Story star led the 9-1-1 Season 9 Episode 18 cast. The final entry was harrowing for Athena, who was shot by Detective Hooks in the penultimate episode. Thankfully, Athena pulled through and helped the authorities catch Hooks red-handed, paving the way for her promotion to Detective. The latest season concluded on a hopeful note for Athena, who will start a new chapter in her life as a detective.
2) Ryan Guzman as Edmundo “Eddie” Díaz: The Step-Up star is the next main addition to the 9-1-1 Season 9 Episode 18 cast. Like Athena, Eddie was also gravely injured after Anatoly stabbed him and left him to die. While Eddie had lost a lot of blood, Buck eventually spotted him in the elevator when the SWAT arrived and he was rushed into surgery. Eddie fully recovered from his injuries and Chris even visited him in the hospital.
3) Oliver Stark as Evan “Buck” Buckley: The final entry of Season 9 set up an exciting parenting storyline for Buck, who decided to become a foster parent to his biological son Theo, after both his parents (and Buck’s friends) died in a car accident in the previous episode. Since Theo would have grown up in the foster care system, Buck became his legal guardian.
4) Kenneth Choi as Howard “Chimney” Han: The Captain of the LAFD was responsible for keeping his team’s morale high during the tense situation. Amid the chaotic hospital lockdown, Chimney’s squad was scattered, but he managed to bring them all together and emerge from the difficult situation. After Bobby’s death, Chimney has proved to be an able and supportive Captain of the 118, who will continue to give his best as the procedural enters its tenth season.
5) Aisha Hinds as Henrietta “Hen” Wilson: Firefighter and paramedic Hen blamed herself for Athena’s condition as she pressed her to take up the case that landed her in the hospital. However, Hen had faith that her best friend would pull through out of this situation alive. Now that Hen is officially back on the squad, it would be interesting to see her journey in the upcoming season, post her scary diagnosis in the latest season.
