Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 finale recap and ending explained:

Here are some of the key events in this Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 episode:

Karen’s hearing was adjourned in the last act of the previous episode, and now it seems that the court is back in session. Kirsten McDuffie is with Karen, as they wait for Matt to return. Meanwhile, Murdock is back in the hideout as Jessica tends to his wounds, as he was shot in his leg. Meanwhile, Fisk, gives Buck a piece of paper and requests him to carry out the order.

However, Matt soon returns to the court and the hearing continues, as Heather Glenn is giving her testemony to the court. Matt points out the inherent unreliability of Heather and every other Fisk’s employees’ testomony to the court. Then, Matt requests the court to permit him to call Fisk in the witness stand.

When Wilson is called to the stand Matt Murdock asks the mayor is Daredevil really sank The Northern Star. Matt questions the validity of Powell’s testemony that The Man Without fear really sank the ship as the AVTF officer is also a Fisk employee. Fisk decribes Daredevil as a witness to the sinking, and this is when Matt brings the big guns.

  • The secret is out of the bag

Matt reveals to the court that he is Daredevil, and tells them that The Northern Star was carrying illegal weapons. Then, Matt points out to the judges that this is a kangaroo court, and as that none of the charages could stick. The judges declare Karen not guilty. As both Matt’s and Fisk’s side are leaving court, we finally learn what Fisk ordered Buck early in the episode.

The revelation of secret has some wondering if this will stick. In the comics, the children of Kilgrave/the Purple Man help Matt out by convincing the world that The Man Without Fear and Murdock are different people. When TheWrap asked if it could happen in the MCU, Cox said that he wasn’t interested going down that route. Therefore, it seems that this Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 revelation is going to stick.

We see some AVTF officers enter the building right infront of the court house. As that happens, we see Bullseye setting up his sniper rifle to shoot someone. Soon we realize that the “Bullseye” doing this is an imposter hired by Fisk. However, soon, the real Bullseye kills everyone including the imposter and prepares to shoot Wilson.

As Fisk is about to leave the building, Matt warns the former, saving him again, but Buck takes the bullet. Soon, everyone is locked inside the court. As that happens, Sheila informs Fisk about AG’s offer that would keep him out of prison, but that would require him to resign and leave New York. Fisk refuses and televises an dvisive announcement about his love for the city.

However, right after that, BB also uploads a message about Fisk’s crimes and unmasks herself as the one who immitating Fisk. Meanwhile, Benjamin Hochberg makes a move on Heather as she is tending to Buck’s wounds, and it culminates in her punching the DA in the throat, probably killing him. This Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 moment is one of the many set ups for the third season.

The public is riled up by BB’s broadcast and they soon invade the courthouse to confront the mayor. Meanwhile, Matt suits up and teams up with Jessica to fight the AVTF officers acting on Fisk’s orders to kill them. After Fisk’s refusal to resign, an irate Fisk, leaves the room to confront the protestors and begins to viciously attacking them, leaving him bloody.

As, Matt, Karen, and Jessica join the protestors, Fisk walks down the stairs, where more people viciously attack him. Matt and Jessica save Fisk, and the former convinces the Kingpin to accept the AG’s offer.
