Here’s what went down Friday, May 1, 2026 on Beyond the Gates when Chelsea and Dani brought Krazy Glue to breakfast, Eva faced the anniversary of her biggest misdeed, and Tomás brought Kat a clue.
What happened on Beyond the Gates

On Beyond the Gates, Kat and Martin got together to talk about Leslie tanking their parents’ marriage exactly one year earlier. Kat was still sickened by Nicole’s heartbroken, but trying-to-stay-strong reaction at the party, though both the Richardson sibs corroborated that, in the present, Nicole seemed to be in good spirits. Martin and Kat agreed to check on Ted and Nicole, respectively, though things got testy when Martin brought up Eva. Kat insisted that she had only allowed Eva to have cake at her birthday party, not brokered a peace treaty; when she found Martin hypocritical, Martin yelled at her, shocking her.
Martin caught himself, still raw from Samantha calling him a hypocrite the day before for going easy on Tyrell kissing Jessica while alone in the house, but having grounded Samantha for the same infraction. Kat concurred that there was a double standard in play, but Martin felt Tyrell was entitled to some leniency since he would soon be leaving home to go to college. Kat was sympathetic.
Eva found Ted in his office, conceding that she was probably the last person he wanted to see that day, given it was the first anniversary of her having a hand in ruining his marriage. When Ted assured Eva that he no longer blamed her, she offered an ear if he needed one, figuring there weren’t many people he could talk to who were on the inside of the situation. At that moment, Nicole, who had been thinking back to Ted trying to reconcile with her, entered, so Eva excused herself.
As Nicole tentatively wished him a happy anniversary, Ted noted that their interaction didn’t need to be awkward. Nicole revealed that she was choosing to focus on their happy memories, and the exes reminisced about their meeting at the medical conference in Maui, where they had ended up talking all night. Nicole called it “magic”; Ted winked that he’d known Carlton was interested and looking for her, so he’d purposely sent him in the wrong direction – something he’d never told Nicole before.
Ted remembered that Nicole had come to him before so that she could talk about Martin, so Nicole expressed her worries about Martin’s senatorial ambitions, still dumbfounded that Vernon had signed off on them. Aware they were getting into how Martin had killed someone in self-defense, Ted reasoned Vernon had deemed a Senate run an acceptable risk. Nicole felt that, with Joey in the know, everyone who knew about the cover-up was in danger of being compromised, which now included her and Smitty. Talk returned to the anniversary, and the former Richardsons realized that they still had a lot to be grateful for. As they hugged, Martin walked in and caught them in their embrace.
Confessions Part II

At the country club, Chelsea was bummed that Dani seemed to be keeping her distance since Chelsea had refused to work with her again. Naomi understood that Dani had wanted to re-establish that tie with Chelsea since Bill was helping her by representing Madison in her malpractice suit. Meanwhile, Andre was whipping up a healthy shake for breakfast, but Dani decided she wanted something more decadent and took Andre to Orphey Gene’s, texting Naomi and Chelsea that they could meet them there. Chelsea seemed hesitant but accompanied her sister to the diner, where Bill was having a business breakfast with Tomás.
Navarro still had no intel on Lynette’s whereabouts but announced that he and Keegan had compiled a list of bank accounts they’d discovered Lynette had emptied; Bill wondered if Lynette may have fallen prey to one of her victims. Andre arrived with Dani, who informed Bill that she had witnessed Hayley being very friendly with Lynette before Hayley’s mugging. Bill insisted that he had introduced the women, later telling Tomás that Dani’s loyalty to family was one of the things he had found attractive about her. Tomás could barely get a word in as Bill stared at Dani, Andre, Chelsea, and Naomi, enjoying themselves together.
Naomi noticed and, once Andre left, she took Bill aside under the guise of giving Dani and Chelsea a private moment. Bill saw through the strategy and got his mind blown when Naomi said she had suggested that Dani and Andre have a child of their own. Simultaneously, Chelsea and Dani acknowledged their remoteness and vowed to make more of an effort with each other. Andre ran into Eva at the country club, seeing that Eva still felt bad for what she had done to Ted and Nicole.
Oh U went

At Uptown, Joey was surprised to see Vernon, since he’d been expecting Elon; Vernon divulged that Elon had functioned as a go-between so he and Joey could meet. After scoffing that Joey was trying to gain respectability by becoming more visible and funding the clinic, Vernon sternly reminded Joey that he had promised to leave Martin alone. Joey recognized that he hadn’t considered the possibility that his gesture to provide Martin with private security might be seen as an illegal campaign donation, but he mused that his larger favors to Martin – specifically, helping to suppress the hate crime fallout – would likely generate even worse optics.
When Joey said that he had been happy to help keep Martin’s reputation clean, and that he respected Martin for protecting Vernon from violence, Vernon retorted that Joey was only happy he had leverage over the congressman. “Martin owes me,” Joey growled, and he let Vernon know that, one day, he would collect. Vernon presented an alternative: when Joey was ready to call in his marker, he wanted Joey to come to him, since he had been the one to set everything in motion by hiding the truth about what Martin had done. “The debt is mine,” Vernon insisted – and besides, as a former senator, Vernon had a lot more connections than even Martin did. Silently coming to an agreement, the men shook hands.
Tomás later got together with Kat at Uptown, where he filled her in on having compiled his list of Lynette’s financial victims. Kat took a look at the names and exclaimed, “I know that woman!”
Tune in next week when Ashley’s movements are monitored, Kat goes to the wrong person in her quest to bust Lynette, and Martin’s hopes for the Senate continue to cause problems.
Beyond the Gates airs weekdays on CBS and streams on Paramount Plus.
