Falynn Pina says it is time for real accountability after Porsha told her side.
The story that will not stay buried
Five years later and this situation is still very much alive. Falynn Pina is making it clear that she has had enough of watching Porsha Williams give interviews about the Simon Guobadia situation without telling the full story. After Porsha sat down with podcast host Carlos King to address whether she betrayed Falynn by marrying her ex-husband, Falynn hopped on her Instagram Story on April 30 with a message that let everyone know she is no longer staying silent and has receipts of her own ready to go.
For anyone who needs the background, Simon Guobadia and Falynn Pina were reportedly married for about two years before announcing their divorce in 2021. That same year, Porsha and Simon announced their engagement, which immediately set social media on fire. The whole situation played out publicly, especially given that Falynn had appeared on season 13 of Real Housewives of Atlanta and fans had seen Porsha at Simon and Falynn’s home. The optics were what they were, and people have had questions ever since.
Porsha gives her version on Carlos King’s podcast
During her conversation with Carlos King, Porsha addressed the elephant in the room head on. Her position was that she and Falynn were never actually close. She maintained that she barely knew Falynn and that producers were the ones who gave her Falynn’s number before she ever visited their home.
She also acknowledged that she handled the public narrative poorly and that she should have addressed it sooner. Porsha said she takes full accountability for how everything appeared and for not speaking to the situation when it first unfolded, but at the time she did not feel it was her place to do so. She also shared that she has her own text message receipts that support her version of events.
Porsha on life after Simon
Porsha also used the interview to speak on where she stands now. Her marriage to Simon lasted only 15 months before she filed for divorce in February 2024. The split played out very publicly, with both sides airing grievances on social media throughout the process. A Georgia judge finalized the divorce in June 2025.
Looking back, Porsha said she recognizes that she fell back into old patterns during that relationship, patterns that dated back to her first marriage. She described feeling like she was giving up parts of herself and being placed in a box that ultimately was not what was best for her. She said she feels good now and is focused on living as her most authentic self.
Falynn responds and the internet pays attention
Falynn was watching. After seeing the interview, she went to her Instagram Story with a message that made clear she is no longer willing to let the narrative be shaped without her input. Her post signaled that she had been fine with letting the situation rest, but watching Porsha frame the story publicly while describing herself as accountable pushed Falynn past her limit.
She wrote that she was prepared to release her own receipts so that everyone, not just Porsha, could take real accountability and the whole story could finally be put to rest for good.
The response online was immediate. Fans of the show and followers of both women began weighing in, with many expressing that they had been waiting for Falynn’s full perspective since the situation first broke years ago. Whether she follows through and what those receipts might reveal remains to be seen, but Falynn has made it very clear that she is no longer content to let this story be told without her voice in it.
