Here’s who brought the ABC drama to life

9-1-1 Season 9 Episode 17 aired on ABC on April 30. The official synopsis of the latest episode of the firefighter procedural titled ‘I Got You Babe‘ reads as follows:

“Buck is faced with his past after an electrical emergency call. Meanwhile, Maddie learns to navigate her working relationships now that she has become a supervisor.”

The latest episode of 9-1-1 saw Buck and the squad rescuing a wild 4-year-old kid stuck on a power plant, who was none other than Buck’s biological child. Turns out, Theo was Connor and Kameron’s son, Buck’s friends who got pregnant thanks to his sperm, making their son his biological child. This blast from the past became even more crucial after Theo’s parents died in a car accident, potentially setting up a parenting storyline for the goofy firefighter. Elsewhere, while busting a human trafficking ring with Detective Hooks, Athena was shot by her partner, setting up her uncertain fate in the season finale.

Here is the complete 9-1-1 Season 9 Episode 17 cast.

9-1-1 Season 9 Episode 17 cast

From Athena’s uncertain fate to Buck’s long-lost son and a jaw-dropping cliffhanger, the latest episode was filled with twists and turns. Here is the complete 9-1-1 Season 9 Episode 17 cast:

Oliver Stark as Evan “Buck” Buckley: The Into the Badlands star led the 9-1-1 Season 9 Episode 17 cast. In a shocking twist, Buck crossed paths with Connor and Kameron, his friends who used his sperm to get pregnant, making their 4-year-old boy, Theo, Buck’s biological son. The 118 squad noticed similarities between Buck and Theo, as he was a wild kid. As the episode concluded with Theo’s parents’ death, Buck will likely adopt Theo in the upcoming finale.

Angela Bassett as Athena Grant: The American Horror Story alum is the next main addition to the 9-1-1 Season 9 Episode 17 cast. Athena was working with Detective Hooks to unearth the mystery of the squatters, who were the victims of a human trafficking ring. While she was highly suspicious of her partner, she joined him to bust an illegal ring, which took a tragic turn after Hooks shot Athena, sending her to the ground and leaving her fate uncertain in the upcoming season finale.

Ryan Guzman as Edmundo “Eddie” Díaz: Like his co-workers, Eddie was concerned about the illegal migrants they rescued in the previous episode. While the firefighter wanted to help them, ICE Agents stormed the hospital and took charge of the squatters, claiming that they would be put inside a holding facility.

Aisha Hinds as Henrietta “Hen” Wilson: The True Blood star is the next main addition to the 9-1-1 Season 9 Episode 17 cast. Now that Hen had finally returned to work after her major health scare, she was ready to give her all. As seen in the last episode, Hen suspected that Hooks was likely in cahoots with the human traffickers. Now that her best friend is in danger, it would be interesting to see how Hen will save her.

Kenneth Choi as Howard “Chimney” Han: The ninth season of 9-1-1 took a turn after Bobby’s death and Chimney was made the new Captain of the 118. The latest episode featured a series of difficult emergencies but Chimney managed to lead his team to victory and handle every situation with ease. Chimney showed he’s stepping into Bobby’s role, guiding Buck back on track when Theo’s reckless behavior left him shaken.
