Fans of animated storytelling have waited a long time for My Adventures With Superman Season 3, and we finally have a release date. If you’ve been refreshing your feeds ever since the show’s second season wrapped up in 2024, then this one is for you.
My Adventures With Superman was quite a success among fans, especially with its warm-colored energy that differs from the grimmer superheroes we see today. So naturally, when Season 3 got greenlit, the excitement hit a different pitch entirely. Now, heading into mid-2026, the wait feels longer than ever, but there is finally enough information floating around to paint a clearer picture of what is coming and when.
So when is My Adventures With Superman Season 3 coming out?
My Adventures With Superman Season 3 was officially announced in June and in August 2025 it was confirmed that the show is in post-production. It was confirmed by showrunner Jake Wyatt, who shared the happy news on X through his account.
Although fans had expected the show to drop in 2025, sadly, that did not happen. Some speculated that the show might release later in the year but when HBO Max’s official December 2025 release slate noticeably excluded My Adventures With Superman Season 3, fans realized the show had been pushed officially into 2026.
Season 3 has now been confirmed to air in 2026 on Adult Swim’s Toonami block. It will drop on June 13.
As for the delay, Wyatt spoke to Entertainment Weekly about how the first two seasons were ordered together and the team wanted to see audience’s reception and then plan another season. Talking about that, he stated,
“I wanna be clear. The studio was always super supportive and ready to make it. We just needed the stars and the bank accounts to align.”
Jack Quaid, who plays Superman on the show added,
“I just wanna thank the fans for their patience on that because the fans have been really amazing. It’s a really great season. I’ve seen some of it. It’s really funny, but the stakes are also so much higher.”
What will My Adventures With Superman Season 3 be about?
Wyatt has also given more details about the season’s inspiration being Reign of the Superman, which was released in 1993. The first promo art of the show features Cyborg Superman, aka Hank Henshaw. Further talking about this, Wyatt added,
“We’re digesting Reign of the Supermen. We’re Cyborg Superman right out the gate. It’s not gonna be a retread of the comics but we did make all the writers read the comics.”
Season 1 established the core trio of Clark, Lois, and Jimmy Olsen, while Season 2 deepened the mythology considerably, bringing Kara Zor-El into the fold and building toward larger threats. Each season has expanded the universe in a way that feels intentional and earned rather than rushed.
