Did Judge approve D4vd’s request for new haircut and clothes before court hearing? Details explored as singer’s murder case impending

Singer D4vd requested the judge for new clothes and a new haircut before the court hearing held on Friday, as reported by NBC Los Angeles. As per the court documents, obtained by the outlet, his lawyers requested that the judge allow the singer to appear in dress pants and a button-down shirt.

While the request for the new clothes was rejected, his other request for a new haircut has been granted. Burke will likely appear at the May 1 hearing with a new haircut.

Burke has been charged with murder, sexual harassment, and severing the body of Celeste Rivas Hernandez. She was reportedly fourteen years old at the time of her death.

D4vd has denied the allegations put against him.

While D4vd’s request for new clothes has been denied, his request for a new haircut has been approved by L.A. County Superior Court Judge Charlaine F. Olmedo. Burke is scheduled to appear for his next hearing on May 1. As per the reports, Burke will be getting the new haircut before the hearing.

The singer was arrested earlier this week on murder charges. A statement from the LAPD on X read:

“LAPD NEWS: “Detectives from Los Angeles Police Department, Robbery-Homicide Division have arrested David Burke, a 21-year-old resident of Los Angeles, for the murder of Celeste Rivas. Burke is being held without bail.”

Last week, Burke was charged with first-degree murder. The statement by District Attorney reads:

“The criminal complaint also includes special circumstance allegations of murder of a witness, murder for financial gain and lying in wait as well as a special allegation that Burke personally used a deadly and dangerous weapon, a sharp instrument, to commit the crime. This horrific and gruesome murder committed by the charged sexual predator is shocking and appalling. To Celeste’s loved ones, we will get the justice you seek and deserve.”

While Burke has remained silent and not released a statement on the ongoing case, his representative told the media last year in September that:

“D4vd has been informed about what’s happened. And, although he is still out on tour, he is fully cooperating with the authorities.”

Speaking of D4vd’s case, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office told People:

“The case is expected to be presented to the Major Crimes Division, at which point prosecutors will review the facts and evidence to determine whether there is sufficient evidence to file charge”

District Attorney Nathan Hochman claimed that Burke killed Celeste Rivas after he was being investigated for sexual acts with her when she was under fourteen, claiming that he did it to protect his music career.
