Twitch streamer hmblzayy was on a massive 3,000-mile walking journey from Philadelphia to California on foot when he got hit by a car. On Day 33 of his live-streamed travel, viewers noticed a black sedan appearing to trail him while he walked along the side of a two-lane road somewhere in Indiana, and rammed into him.
Zayy and his setup tumbled to the asphalt. A woman off camera in the livestream could be heard screaming,
“B*tch! Did you not f**king see me?”
Hours after the incident, Hmblzayy in another video could be seen in a hospital bed with neck braces on, and said,
“Appreciate everybody that’s checking on me. God is the greatest and I’m good. Just running some tests right now.”
He also said that he’ll be returning to livestream “real soon.” Zayy also mentioned that he would be completing his 3,000 miles marathon, which “god” put him on.
“We’re gonna make sure we finish this marathon that God put me on. God is the greatest. I’m alive and that’s all that matters.”
What happened to Hmblzayy
After tumbling to the asphalt, several police officers and firefighters surrounded the rapper, with an officer offering to drive Zayy and his belongings to a hospital for him to receive treatment.
Fans have been flooding the internet in the aftermath of the incident to send good wishes to the streamer.
With his 3,000 mile, Zayy intends to build a trade school for teenagers where they could learn skills such as plumbing, electrical engineering, along with financial literacy skills and accounting.
Zayy plans to raise around $250k USD to build the school. He has already raised $42k through the project’s official GoFundMe page. While talking about the motive behind the project, Zayy opened up about dropping out of college in his sophomore year when his parents couldn’t cover the cost,
“That challenge forced me to find another way. I started small, selling pressed hoodies out of the back of my car, and through hard work, consistency, and belief in myself, I built that hustle into a profitable business. That journey showed me something powerful: there isn’t just one path to success.”
He went on to add,
“Now I want to create opportunities for teens who are facing the same barriers I once did…This is bigger than me. It’s about creating access, building futures, and showing young people that their circumstances don’t define their potential.”
Hmblzayy’s accident footage has racked up views online, with viewers praising his determination.
