Addison Rae’s father, Monty Lopez, was booked on April 28 for a felony charge of possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
TMZ was the first to report the news. The outlet claimed that police showed up to Lopez’s house for a mental health call on April 23. Multiple cops were waiting outside his home in Louisiana. As per a representative for the Lafayette Police Department, the mental health check-in turned into a criminal investigation when officers discovered drugs at Lopez’s house.
Lopez was then arrested for allegedly possessing a large amount of marijuana as per Lafayette Police Department’s online records. This is not the first time Lopez has been arrested. In 2025, Lopez was arrested in relation to a separate incident in which he was accused of exposing himself in a public place in 2024. He pleaded not guilty to the charges then.

While addressing her mother, Addison said,
“I‘m sure that was personal decisions on your part with Dad. You guys I’m sure, kind of established that, like, ‘Hey, we’re gonna need some space. We need to have our time to figure things out.”
Addison Rae’s mother, Sheri Easterling had earlier filed for sole custody of their 12-year old son as part of their divorce case. The sole custody battle stemmed from Lopez’s alleged sex crime charge stemming from the 2025 arrest.
During the court proceedings, court documents revealed multiple alleged incidents of abuse throughout their marriage, including an allegation that Monty once slapped Addison across the face with an open hand.
Monty Lopez shares Rae, Enzo and Lucas with Sheri. He’s also dad to daughter Macye Neumeyer, whom he welcomed during a previous relationship.
After tying the knot in 2004, Monty Lopez and Sheri Easterling divorced years later, only to reconcile and remarry in 2014. The former couple ultimately called it quits in 2022, with Lopez moving on with Kaitlyn Nicole Robins.
