On General Hospital 10 years ago today, April 26, 2016, Port Charles looked and felt the same, but lives were much different. However, that doesn’t mean things were any less precarious for Julian, Alexis, Carly, and Ava.
Alexis did Julian’s bidding

Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) wasn’t sure what she was getting herself into when she agreed to do Julian (William deVry) a favor. She represented Carlos Rivera (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) in Duke’s (Ian Buchanan) murder case because Julian worried that Carlos could implicate him. Carlos was actually the one who shot Duke, but he did it at Julian’s orders. Alexis just didn’t want to believe that yet.
When Julian returned home for the day, he got a good look at Alexis’s “heirloom” dagger, the one that Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) used to kill her mother all those years ago. Julian offered to get rid of it for her after Helena left it to Alexis in her will, but Alexis still wanted to hang onto it, so she put it in the cabinet and gave Julian some news.
She was waiting on word about Carlos’ case and whether the judge was about to dismiss it. Little did Alexis know that Jordan (then played by Vinessa Antoinne) was busy interrogating a witness who accidentally saw what happened that fateful night at the Nurses’ Ball when Carlos shot Duke in the Metro Court parking lot. She had no idea that her case was about to blow up and the PCPD were actually on the ball for a change.
Carly contemplated kidneys

It had been months since Jake Webber (Hudson West) had been revealed to be alive, meaning Josslyn’s (Eden McCoy) kidney had to have come from someone else all those years ago. Carly (Laura Wright) had realized that when Jake first reappeared, but by April, it was more on her mind than ever.
Carly and Sonny (Maurice Benard) were still married, so she was surprised to learn that Sonny was on the ball and trying to help her out. He had tasked Ric (Rick Hearst) with finding out where the kidney had actually come from. All these years later, Sonny is trusting Ric again, while Carly does not trust him at all. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
Ava got big news

Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) had just recovered from being shot and was back living in that little apartment with Franco (Roger Howarth) and Nina (then played by Michelle Stafford). Kiki was caught in the crossfire on the pier after Alexis and Julian’s wedding, and the incident took its toll on her.
Ava (Maura West) worried about Kiki and brought her concerns to Julian. Since his organization was responsible for Kiki’s shooting, Ava wondered if the threat had passed. Julian had assured her that it was, but she was surprised to hear that he was back in charge of the Jerome crime family. Julian said he was doing it for their own good.
