We’re finally getting the Nate and Cassie moment we have waited for years

If you’ve been watching Euphoria from the very beginning, then you’d know that Nate Jacobs and Cassie Howard’s storyline is the most deliciously chaotic one from the show and in Euphoria Season 3 Episode 3, it’s getting the most serious.

From the secret relationship in season 2 to Maddy finding out in the worst possible way, their relationship has been one long, messy, unhinged spiral, and now, against all odds, these two are making it official. Season 3 follows the characters five years after high school with everyone navigating debt, reinvention, and adult realities in a much harsher world.

HBO released a batch of 20 teaser photos ahead of the episode, which airs April 26, 2026, and they promise all the high-fashion anxiety and psychological dread that Sam Levinson is known for. Cassie looks stunning but characteristically fragile in a traditional white gown and veil, with several stills catching her in moments of tearful distress, suggesting the honeymoon phase ended long before the “I dos.”

And then there’s the reunion nobody was emotionally prepared for. Jules comes face to face with Cal, whose secret from season 1 has been simmering for years, and in the trailer she looks at him and says “remember me?”, as he responds, how could he forget.

What has happened on Euphoria Season 3 so far?

Euphoria returned for the first time in four years following the 2022 season 2 finale, with the premiere in April 11 and the story picking up five years later. As of now, Euphoria Season 3 has completely changed and the characters couldn’t be more different than what we remember.

As for where they are in life, it’s not very good. Rue is in Mexico and in debt to Laurie, desperately trying to find ways to pay her back when she is employed by a strip-club owner, Jules is in art school, but also a sugar daddy. Maddy is in Hollywood working at a talent agency while trying hard to be able to manage influencers. Cassie has realised that OnlyFans seems like a good way to make money, while Nate is running an unsuccesful business and trying to secure serious investors.

Episode 2 leaned into the nostalgia angle hard, Rue proclaims she misses high school, and Cassie sincerely asks “but who am I?” in a conversation where she is told she lacks taste by Maddy. It would be interesting to see how things play out now, especially with Cassie and Nate’s wedding.

Euphoria Season 3 is now streaming on HBO Max.
