Running Point Season 2 Episode 2 brings forth a distinct set of challenges that Isla has to face. It cannot be denied that with the steady rise in the stakes as the storyline progresses in the series, the viewers are completely enamored.
This episode of Running Point Season 2 sets the stage with difficulties that are not only unexpected but also have the ability to change the trajectory of the storyline of the series.

A shocking twist arrives while Isla faces an array of challenges in Running Point Season 2 Episode 2
Running Point Season 2 Episode 2 starts with Isla opening up about the things that she can tolerate and the things that she cannot forgive. A thing which Isla can never forgive is betrayal. She then speaks about the many betrayals that she has faced in her life. However, among all the betrayals that she navigated through, what she did not expect was Dyson expecting a bigger deal; even though she “discovered him” and “nurtured him”, he has no gratefulness towards Isla.
However, it is not easy to give Dyson what he wants, as they are dangerously close to going over the cap. They will also have to pay the luxury tax if they give Dyson what he wants. When Isla asks about the agent that Dyson has, she is informed that Dyson has a new agent now. Running Point Season 2 Episode 2 continues with Isla going to speak with Dyson’s new agent, Clint.
Clint is quite disappointed that he did not get the invite for the wedding. Isla tries to give the excuse that the venue was small. However, Clint is aware that the venue was a ballroom with a capacity of 600 people. Isla asks Clint for his demands about Dyson. Clint informs her that Dyson wants to have a new contract for four years with 160 million.
Dyson also wants his own “bobblehead night” and the number of his jersey to be changed to a bible verse. Isla tells Clint that she can only do the bobblehead and the jersey; however, not the money. Clint completely disagrees with it, as he thinks that Dyson deserves the money because he is a rising star. However, Isla reduces the amount to five years for 22 million.
Running Point Season 2 episode 2 continues with Isla completely disappointed with her meeting with Clint. Ali arrives and informs her that Isla has a meeting scheduled with Al Fleischman. Isla is not happy with it and wants Ali to reschedule; however, as Al Feischman spends a lot of money on the team, they have no choice. Isla asks Ali to do the meeting instead of her, which Ali reluctantly agrees to.
On the other hand, Aruna has a meeting with Sandy discussing the budget. Aruna asks about the 2 million check to Malibu Nights Treatment Center, LLC, which has Sandy’s signature. Sandy gets quite surprised and tells Aruna that he will work on it. Right at that moment, Isla arrives and tells Sandy that Ali needs a raise. However, the economic situation of the company is not good, especially now that they are in a budget deficit.
Hence, giving a raise is not possible according to Sandy. Sandy is also worried about Dyson’s deal. Running Point Season 2 Episode 2 continues with Sandy confronting Cam for the check. Cam opens up about his inability to stay in the rehab center, as he was already sober; however, they were not letting him out. So he used company funds for it.
Sandy understands Cam’s situation and informs him that he will put Cam on a payment plan and push the check into the next quarter. The next day, Clint comes over for a meeting with Isla and the team about Dyson’s situation. Isla gives an offer of five years at 35 million; however, Clint is not happy and leaves the meeting.
Running Point Season 2 Episode 2 continues with Ness informing Isla that they have a big problem because the “Pocher” is in town. The poacher is none other than Magnus Serafun, the GM of the Toronto Trappers. Isla decides to take matters into her own hands and goes to speak to Dyson herself. However, Dyson is not eager to hear her words.
At the end of Running Point Season 2 Episode 2, things take a turn as Magnus Serafun finds that he is being spied on. He tells Jackie that it has now become a personal issue. On the other hand, Sandy tries to help Charlie by asking about their contact at CAA or WME. Isla keeps getting bad news as Clint informs her that Dyson has got a bigger offer, so they need to match that; otherwise, Dyson will be leaving.
Jackie comes to Isla’s rescue as he informs her that Dyson is not happy with the way she behaves with him by treating him as a charity case. Isla calls Dyson to her house and opens up about the situation. She apologizes to him; however, she finds out that there was no trade demand, and it was Clint who tricked her.
At the very end of this episode, it is revealed that the Poacher was not there for Dyson but for Ali. Ali also agrees to Magnus’ offer, setting the stage with a new challenge that Isla will now have to face.
