On April 25, Megan Thee Stallion confirmed her breakup from Klay Thompson via her latest Instagram story. The American rapper seemingly accused the NBA player of cheating. Megan also mentioned about Klay’s mood swings and called out the way he treated her during his basketball season. She went on to say that she need a break. In her IG story, Megan Thee Stallion wrote:
“Cheating, had me around your whole family playing house… got “cold feet” Holding you down through all your HORRIBLE mood swings and treatment towards me during your basketball season now you don’t know if you can be “monogamous”???? b*tch I need a REAL break after this one .. bye yall”
Megan Thee Stallion and Klay Thompson started dating in summer last year. The couple soft launched their relationship on July 12, when the rapper shared an IG story holding hands. Following this, they officially stepped out as couple for the red carpet on July 16. Together, Megan and Klay attended Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala in New York City. At the event, the rapper even dubbed Klay Thompson as the “nicest person” she ever met.
Megan Thee Stallion says trust and fidelity is non-negotiable
As reported by TMZ, Megan revealed that she has broken up with Klay Thompson. In her statement, she said that trust, respect, and fidelity are non-negotiable for her in a relationship. She added that she will priortize herself and move on with peace.
“I’ve made the decision to end my relationship with Klay. Trust, fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward. I’m taking this time to prioritize myself and move ahead with peace and clarity.”
Earlier, in February this year, Megan said that she wants to get engaged to Klay. The rapper also showed off her $200k car, which Klay gifted her on her birthday.
