The third season is filming in New York, and new set photos on the Cosmic Marvel X page have revealed a fresh villain in costume. Margarita Levieva as Lady Muse in Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 on X
Muse was first introduced in the show’s first season as a disturbing figure who turned his victim into art. Unlike his comic version, he was shown as a regular human rather than an Inhuman. He was also one of Heather Glenn’s patients. His obsession with her grew dangerous and he eventually targeted Matt’s girlfriend. Daredevil stooped him, but Heather ended the threat by shooting Muse herself.
Now the story takes a new turn with Leviava’s version of Muse. The hints from the second season have finally come full circle, setting up a darker and more complex chapter for the series.
In the third season of the show, we see Heather begin to lose control of her mind. The story shows her breaking down and it is later revealed that she somehow has Muse’s mask. This twist makes it clear that Heather is heading into a dangerous spiral and her fall becomes one of the darkest turns in the show.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 3: Muse in comics vs. show
In the comics, Muse ends his own life while fighting Blindspot. His spirit is sent to hell, and from there, he influences an artist named Morgan Whittier, convincing her to take his identity. That version of Muse looks very close to the one we see in the MCU.
Now, the question is whether the female Muse will rise as the main villain in Daredevil: Born Again. It feels unlikely since Heather has no powers, and the Defenders are still active while Daredevil is missing. Even so, her path is clear, and it is one of the most intriguing storylines in the series.
It is also worth noting that this female Muse once fought against Elektra’s Daredevil rather than Matt’s, which adds another layer to her arc. In the show, redemption and survival shape the fight for New York. The second season shows Fisk tightening his grip on the city as he hunts the vigilante of Hell’s Kitchen.
Matt Murdock hides behind the mask and works from the shadows. His goal is to break the Kingpin’s empire and bring hope back to his home.
