The second season of Daredevil: Born Again has brought back the duo action between Jessica Jones and Luke Cage with a surprising twist.
When Jessica Jones met Luke Cage in the first season of Jessica Jones, it felt like two unstoppable forces colliding. Their bond became one of the most powerful pairings in Marvel’s era.
The show revealed that Jessica and Luke are now parents. Their daughter, Danielle Cage Jones, appeared as a toddler. The series does not show her using powers yet, but it strongly hints that she has inherited them. Fans of the comics already know that Danielle is the daughter of both Jessica and Luke.
In the show, she is played by twins Annabelle and Isabella Ivlev. Luke is mentioned in the show’s season 2 episode 6, but he does not appear on screen. Danielle Cage-Jones rising power revealed in Daredevil: Born Again
In Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again, Jessica Jones ‘ daughter Danielle Cage-Jones is introduced, but the show has not yet confirmed her powers. The series hints at her potential abilities, drawing from Marvel Comics, where she inherits super strength and unbreakable skin from her parents.
In the comics, Danielle Cage was first introduced in The Pulse back in 2006. More recently, in Lisa Jewell’s 2024 story, Breaking the Dark: A Jessica Jones Crime Novel. Jessica sees visions of her unborn daughter and believes the child will be superpowered like her parents.
At first, Danielle seems like any other child. Her powers do not show right away. As she grows older, her story changes depending on the timeline. In the Marvel universe, she stays a toddler. In one future, she becomes Captain America with her parents’ strength and unbreakable skin. In another, she proves worthy to lift Thor’s hammer and even fight Doctor Doom.

Jessica Jones began seeing strange visions before she knew she was pregnant. Everywhere she went, she saw a little girl named Danielle. She appeared outside her apartment, on the street, and even in faraway places like restaurants across the world. Each time Jessica asked her where her parents were, Danielle answered that she was with her mom. Jessica also saw Danielle do things that no normal child could do, like lifting heavy tables with ease.
After some time, Jessica understood what the visions meant. She went to a doctor to confirm her pregnancy. The doctor told her that if both parents had powers, it was possible the baby could be born with special abilities too.
