David Anthony Burke, known by his moniker D4vd, is an American singer raised in Houston, Texas.
He was arrested on April 16 under suspicion of murdering 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, who went missing in 2025 and whose remains were subsequently found in his vehicle in September that year.
In the latest news concerning the My House Is Not A Home artist, following his arrest, prosecutors have alleged that the singer also harbored “a significant amount” of images depicting child abuse on his phone and coinciding iCloud account. The shocking revelation soon went viral, and various internet personalities were quick to comment on the ongoing situation, including Perez Hilton. He referred to the acts committed as “sickening things,” and then proceeded to give the full context of the proceedings thus far.
“As we’ve been following, in addition to D4vd’s first-degree murder and mutilating a body charges, he was hit with lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14. During an arraignment on Monday, LA District Attorney Nathan Hochman claimed there is evidence D4vd engaged in a sexual relationship with Celeste from the time she was 13, though it’s not clear if the child s*xual abuse material discovered on his phone features the murdered teen.”
The preliminary hearing process for the case is currently scheduled for May 1. The singer is not facing a criminal charge related to the latest allegations as of this report.
D4vd pleads not guilty on all charges, more
As of this moment, D4vd and his legal counsel are vigorously defending his innocence. On the other hand, prosecutors have alleged that the singer repeatedly abused Celeste Rivas Hernandez before killing and dismembering her. As per the BBC, the prosecution alleges that Burke committed the heinous act to protect his career.
Interestingly, Celeste’s family withheld from making a public statement on the matter until earlier in the week when they broke their silence regarding their slain daughter.
“Celeste was a beautiful, strong girl who loved to sing and dance. Every Friday night was movie night and we spent wonderful times together. We love her very much and she always told us that she loved us. We miss her deeply. All we want is Justice for Celeste.”
It remains to be seen how the situation will play out for D4vd in front of a jury of his peers as evidence and new allegations continue to mount.
