Dianna Russini’s old tweet resurfaces as photos of her kissing Mike Vrabel from 5 years ago goes viral

Dianna Russini is drawing attention online after an old tweet and past photos of her with Mike Vrabel went viral.

The photos, published in the Page Six article, are from six years ago, taken in an NYC bar, showing Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini kissing. Russini is an American sports journalist who worked in NFL coverage before leaving her role earlier this month. Mike Vrabel, also known as Michael George Vrabel, is the head coach of the New England Patriots.

Amid the viral photos, an old tweet of Russini is also resurfacing, shared in 2021. The tweet read:

“Keep looking at my almost 4 day old son Michael while trying to figure out who are the best Michaels to ever play and coach in the NFL?”

Dianna Russini has deactivated her X account after the tweet resurfaced. Russini is married to Kevin Goldschmidt. The couple has two sons, one of whom is named Michael.

Vrabel married his wife, Jennifer Vrabel, reportedly in 1999, and the couple has been together since. As for Dianna, the journalist married Kevin Goldschmidt in 2020.

The new photos of Dianna Russini and Mike Vrabel, reportedly taken in 2020, were first released by Page Six. The photos were reportedly taken at Tribeca Tavern. According to an eyewitness statement to Page Six:

“They were kissing and they were all over each other. He had a ring on.”

Another source told the outlet:

“They were having a glorious time. They were [giving each other] pecks, a bunch of pecks, constantly. There was nobody in there. Nobody knew who they were. I don’t even think the bartenders did.”

Vrabel and Russini had earlier made headlines after they were spotted spending time together at a resort in Arizona.

After the photos were released, Vrabel announced he would be missing a part of the NFL draft. Soon after, the New England Patriots also released a statement that read:

“The New England Patriots fully support Mike Vrabel’s decision to prioritize his family first, as well as his own well-being. Mike has been open with us about his commitment to being the best version of himself for his family, this team and our fans, and we respect the steps he is taking to follow through on that commitment.”

As of now, neither Russini nor Vrabel has issued any statement regarding the viral photos. Earlier this month, Russini uploaded a tweet, publicly announcing her decision to leave The Athletic, saying that:

“Moreover, this media frenzy is hurtling forward without regard for the review process The Athletic is trying to complete. It continues to escalate, fueled by repeated leaks, and I have no interest in submitting to a public inquiry that has already caused far more damage than I am willing to accept. Rather than allowing this to continue, I have decided to step aside now — before my current contract expires on June 30.”
