Comedian Nikki Glaser has shared a story about how Leonardo DiCaprio sent her an odd return gift after her Golden Globes joke about him. In January, Glaser hosted the awards ceremony and roasted a number of celebrities present at the event. During her monologue, Glaser took a swipe at the Titanic star’s history of dating younger women.
“Countless iconic performances, you’ve worked with every great director, you’ve won three Golden Globes and an Oscar, and the most impressive thing is you were able to accomplish all that before your girlfriend turned 30,” Glaser joked at the Golden Globes 2026.
She further took a dig at lesser-known aspects of DiCaprio’s life.
“Leo, I’m sorry I made that joke. It is cheap. I tried not to, but, like, we don’t know anything else about you, man. There’s nothing else. Open up! I’m serious! I looked! I searched! The most in-depth interview you’ve ever given was for Teen Beat magazine in 1991. Is your favorite food still ‘Pasta, pasta and more pasta?’”
During her recent appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s show, Galser shared that after she roasts celebrities at public events, she sends flowers to them for being a good sport. Glaser said that, however, only Leonardo DiCaprio was the only one who sent something back. Following her pasta joke, the Shutter Island alum sent the comedian raw pasta.
“He sent me three baskets of pasta as a thank-you. He sent me pasta. So funny… And part of me was like, ‘Does Leo want to smash?’ Like, I was like, ‘All right.’ And then, I was like, if he was, the type of girl he goes for, he wouldn’t send pasta to. Like, it was, like, a dry pasta. Like, it was, I think, I think the company was like ‘Meno Pasta,'” Glaser joked.
Nikki Glaser shares her struggle with writing jokes about Leonardo DiCaprio
Glaser told Jimmy Fallon that she was struggling while writing jokes about Leonardo DiCaprio due to a lack of information about him. Glaser said that she did not want to crack a cliché joke on DiCaprio’s relationships.
“I just don’t want to make the joke about how he has young girlfriends. It’s been done so many times. I mean, it’s been, that joke’s been going on longer than, you know, his current girlfriend’s been alive. It’s truly been around forever. And I’m like, ‘I don’t want to do it.,” Nikki Glaser stated.
The Golden Globes host further said that there was not much information about the Inception star. Nikki Glaser said it was then her team found DiCaprio’s 1991 Teen Beat magazine interview in which he described, “Pasta, pasta, and more pasta,” as his favorite food.
“It was like there was nothing else to say about him. And then I was like, ‘Well, that’s kind of funny.’ So I was like, ‘Let’s try to find, like, this guy doesn’t reveal anything about himself. Let’s find something he’s revealed,” Glaser added.
Elsewhere in her interview with Jimmy Fallon, Nikki Glaser discussed other jokes she made on the Golden Globes stage. She also mocked the ongoing feud between Alex Cooper and Alix Earle.
