Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 is currently under production, and set images have revealed Kingpin at his lowest. The man is known for his brutality and violence, but the death of Vanessa Fisk, his wife, has hit him pretty hard, as we saw in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 episode 6, Requiem.
But this grief isn’t something that’ll end with the present season. Set images from Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 have revealed that Fisk will still be struggling with his wife’s death and will most likely feel lost for a while.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 might feature Kingpin in a state we haven’t seen him in before
In the most recent Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 episode, we saw the aftereffects of Venessa Fisk’s death. Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin, fueled by rage after losing his wife, initiates a brutal city-wide crackdown and intensifies his fight against masked vigilantes, turning the Task Force into a private army who are instructed to show no mercy. While Matt suggests that they get away from New York to get some peace, Kingpin refuses and fights him, and loses.
In simple words, Fisk has thus lost it. He is blinded by rage, which in turn is rooted in grief. It seems this grief won’t be gone anytime soon. An X user, Daredevil Shots (@_DaredevilShots), posted set images of Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 on X, which shows Kingpin in a look we haven’t seen him in before. He is seen wearing a dark brown overcoat and a brown beanie with an overgrown white beard.
It is clear that in Season 3’s storyline, he hasn’t been taking care of himself, which suggests that he is most likely still deeply affected by Vanessa’s death. While on one side, losing the only person he loved has made him even more ruthless, it has also broken him down from within. When Vanessa died, viewers knew that her death would unleash a Kingpin who was restraining himself just for her sake. While viewers can tell that Kingpin is going to become much more ruthless, they perhaps never expected to see a Kingpin so broken down.
With Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 set images also revealing Luke Cage and Iron Fist returning in the upcoming season, and now Kingpin’s different look, we can tell that Season 3 is going to take the show to a different level. A heartbroken widower, who happens to be a criminal, is going to wreak havoc on New York City’s vigilantes.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 is expected to be released in March 2027. The last two episodes of Season 2 are going to be released on Disney+ on April 28 and May 5, 2026, respectively.
