Rumors floating around suggest that the event will take place over many days at a historic venue. According to multiple reports, preparations are already in progress for what may turn out to be one of the year’s most high-profile celebrity weddings.
Palermo has been the couple’s top choice for their wedding, according to Brandsynario and Eastern Eye. Reports indicate they are considering hosting the ceremony at Villa Igiea, which is a luxury Art Nouveau palazzo overlooking the Gulf of Palermo.
According to reports, the location, which is well-known for having high-profile guests and events, is booked for a few days. The pair may decide to have a three-day wedding celebration between September 5 and 7, making it a complete wedding weekend instead of a one-day ceremony, according to sources.
According to reports, Dua Lipa was reportedly seen with famous Italian wedding planner Alessandra Grillo in Palermo, which heightened the rumor regarding the wedding plans. The singer’s own social media activities provided another hint. While visiting the city in 2025, she shared pictures with the caption:
“In my heart, Palermo.”
At the time, the couple’s vacation in Palermo seemed like a getaway; now, with the rumors and alleged sightings, it seems like the wedding destination for the couple.
The couple had really enjoyed their time in Palermo. Back in 2025, the couple traveled about the city together, stopping at sites including Santa Caterina Church, Palatine Chapel, and Via Maqueda. They were also spotted enjoying the seaside scenery and local cuisine. This might have played a huge role in the couple picking the city.

Sources suggest that Callum Turner asked Dua Lipa to marry him in late 2024. As reported by the Daily Star, the engagement ring was uniquely designed with ideas from her close friends and sister. Regarding the proposal, Dua Lipa stated:

The mayor of the town himself invited the couple, allegedly providing them with the venue for the wedding at no cost, promising privacy.
