Another user (@buteraijk) claimed that it was Sydney’s personal brand that the film crew was worried about,
“that’s what happens when you align yourself with certain people and become a major brand risk…”

What was Sydney Sweeney’s role in The Devil Wears Prada 2?
As per EW, Sydney Sweeney was supposed to play the role of a celebrity client for Emily Blunt’s Dior executive character, Emily Charlton. As per EW, the scene did not sit well structurally with the rest of the sequence of the film, and that the team working on the film was grateful for her contribution but had to make the decision of removing the bit.
The Euphoria actress has been receiving backlash for her controversial scenes in the recently released Season 3.
In one of the scenes, Sydney’s character, Cassie, dressed up as a dog with cuffs around her wrists, a collar and a leash around her neck, along with a little brown love-heart painted nose, and a dog ears headband. The scene received intense backlash from viewers, with many claiming that it was a “humiliation ritual” for the actress and the character.
In another scene, Sydney can be seen posing in a controversial baby costume. Her costume involved her sucking on a pacifier while wearing an OnlyFans baby costume. Viewers claimed that the scene sexualized children, and that adult women shouldn’t be making pacifiers and baby clothes into a provocative outfit.
