It’s hard enough on anyone to learn the mother they thought died when they were a child has been kept on ice for years, as his uncle and a mad scientist wait for the right moment to bring her back. But if you are on the autism spectrum like Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews) is, it becomes even harder.
Theo felt comfortable enough to tell Marlena (Deidre Hall) what’s really going on, but he knows he can’t tell anyone else. That is why Marlena suggested that he journal his feelings as a way of coping and staying on an even keel.
When Theo decides to confide in Gabi (Cherie Jimenez), he realizes that he has to keep it vague. He can tell her that something has been weighing on his mind and even bring his mother up, but he can’t tell her everything. Will Theo just say that he quit DiMera to honor his mother’s memory?
Gabi is left a bit confused, but she might get more clarity after Theo leaves because it appears that he left his journal out and open right on his table at the Brady Pub. Will Gabi read it and learn more than she ever bargained for?
Lani returns to Salem
Chanel (Raven Bowens) is stunned and thrilled when she turns around to see Lani Price Grant (Sal Stowers) standing in Horton Town Square. Chanel was just trying to get her baked goods ready for an outdoor sale, but she must take time away from that to catch up with her half-sister.
Will Chanel tell Lani about the lump she and Johnny (Carson Boatman) found in her breast the night before? Chanel was ready to just ignore it until her next doctor’s appointment, feeling that it’s likely normal pregnancy breast changes. Will Lani talk Chanel into doing the right thing and seeing the doctor right away?
Is Lani also in Salem to stay? It’s been a while since Eli (Lamon Archey) told Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) that he and Lani were moving back with the twins. Is this the big move or are we not there yet?
