On April 18, Brandon Tatum once again defended Erika Kirk against attacks from Candace Owens. Recently, Candace Owens criticized Charlie’s widow for not attending a UGA event where JD Vance was also present. Erika Kirk was originally supposed to attend the event at UGA with US VP, JD Vance, but she cancelled.
Andrew Kolvet, a spokesman for Turning Point USA, attended the event in her place and explained why she was absent. Andrew Kolvet stated that Erika missed the event because of security threats.
Candace Owens reacted to the scenario and she referred to Erika’s no-show as ‘lowkey disrespectful’ as Vice President also attended the event. She even claimed that Erika was in Georgia when she canceled. She even attacked Erika with the Secret Service report that claimed Erika Kirk had no security threats.
American YouTuber, Brandon Tatum, backed Erika’s reasons for not showing up at UGA event. He seemingly highlighted Candace Owens’ double standards. He recalled how Owens earlier cited security threats as reason for skipping Charlie Kirk’s Memorial and now she’s telling Erika lied. In his X post, he wrote,
“This is the TRUTH about Erika Kirk skipping the TPUSA event with JD Vance. Remember Candace Owens skipped Charlie Kirk’s memorial out of safety and people knowing where she’s going to be…? Erika Kirk does the same and now it’s “fake” and she gets dragged? That makes no sense. The threat is almost NEVER at the venue. It’s in transit, routes, timing, exposure. Stop letting clickbait headlines twist reality just to farm outrage and views.”
Candace Owens reacted after Erika Kirk turned out to be no-show at UGA
Owens blasted Erika Kirk in her latest podcast. She claimed that Erika Kirk was in Georgia. She went on to add that people now need better “psyops” to manipulate them. She said:
“Erika was indeed in Georgia already and you’re not going to believe how this actually went down. Erika canceling her event. So, right at the top, I just want to say that us as a society, we deserve better PSYOPS. This is starting to feel disrespectful. She is all over the place. They are all over the place. Um, and I just want to say that we deserve better psyops.”
The former Daily Wire anchor claimed that Erika and her team were aware of the situation. Owens stated that Erika’s security risk was minimal because the entire area, including the airport and venue, had been secured due to the US Vice President’s presence at the event. In her podcast, Candace also discussed the Secret Service report after Erika did not attend the event. The CBS published an article stating there was no threat to Erika Kirk at the event.
