What happened to Phoebe Lunny? Lambrini Girls announces Coachella 2026 stage cancelation

Punk duo Lambrini Girls have pulled out of the Coachella 2026 lineup after member Phoebe Lunny suffered a serious injury. As confirmed by the band through their social media statement, band member Lunny is recovering from both a fractured neck and an acute brain injury.

According to Phoebe Lunny, the injury happened when she was in Australia and was initially misdiagnosed there. She claimed that the delay in receiving an accurate diagnosis caused treatment to be delayed, which made her condition worse. The announcement came after the fans noticed that the band was absent from the official set times.

She added a photo of herself in a hospital gown along with the notice, where she wrote:

“We have to pull out of Coachella and reshdeule our whole American headline tour. Long story short: I fractured my neck and have an actual brain injury. TLDR: happened in australia. misdiagnosed. late treatment. doctors orders are I can’t fly or perform for 6 weeks. All UK/EU SHOWS ARE STILL GOING AHEAD LATE MAY ONWARDS.”

As she provided new dates for the concert, she then had a message for the American ticket holders:

“To all American ticket holders: it’s dark times, especially in the states…Making space for subversion and resistance is at the core of what this band is about seeing people of all ages, genders and backgrounds come together to mosh, lift each other up, chant, cry, scream in both parts joyful and angry, is my greatest joy.”

The Lambrini Girls member spoke directly to the fans, stressing that the situation was severe and unavoidable:

“We have received quite a lot of messages re coachella, we are so gutted guys. We want to be there so badly. If it was a broken leg. I would do a dave grohl and play it. This isn’t something we are taking lightly and we are really sad. We hope and pray there’s some universe we get to play next year instead.”

Despite the setback, Lunny remained optimistic and concluded with:

“Because it is my neck and brain, our hands are tied for now, but I’m lucky and expect a speedy recovery thank f*ck lol. Thank you for always showing up for us…Phoebe.”

They hope that they might get another opportunity to perform at Coachella in the future.

A big setback for the Lambrini Girls
